What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember preferences, and provide analytics. Similar technologies — including local storage, session storage, and pixel tags — work in much the same way and are covered by this policy.
Cookies we use
- Essential — required for the Service to work. These cannot be disabled from within CertSeal because the Service would not function without them.
- Functional — remember choices you make (theme, language, recent items) so we don't ask you to set them every visit.
- Analytics — aggregated, anonymous measurement of how the Service is used so we can improve it. We use privacy-friendly analytics and do not build user profiles across sites.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share personal data with ad networks.

_plausible | Aggregates anonymous, privacy-friendly site analytics (Plausible). | Analytics | 24 hours |

Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by trusted third parties we use to run the Service. These providers process limited data on our behalf and are bound by data-processing agreements:
- Plausible Analytics — privacy-friendly, cookieless on the marketing site; uses a 24-hour rolling hash on the app for unique-visit counts.
- Intercom — powers our in-app help chat for signed-in users.
- Stripe — handles payments on our pricing and billing pages and sets cookies for fraud prevention.
Managing your cookies
You can control cookies in several ways:
- Use the cookie preferences link in the footer of our website to opt in or out of non-essential cookies.
- Clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Most browsers also let you set per-site preferences. Note that disabling essential cookies will prevent core features (like signing in) from working.
- Install a tracker-blocking extension (we test against the major ones — uBlock Origin, AdBlock Plus, Privacy Badger — and the Service should keep working without analytics).
Do Not Track
We respect the Do Not Track ("DNT") browser signal where it is technically practical. When DNT is enabled, we disable optional analytics for your session. Essential and functional cookies still load as needed for the Service to work.
Changes to this policy
As our Service evolves, we may add, change, or remove cookies. We will update this page to reflect those changes; significant updates will be announced in our product changelog.
