What teams ask before they upgrade
What is a batch?
A batch is one issuance run: a design, a recipient list, and an optional email template that sends certificates to a cohort at once. For example, "AI Workshop, March 2026 graduates" is a batch. Each recipient you add to a batch becomes one certificate with its own permanent verification URL.
What counts as a certificate?
One certificate = one recipient. When you import 50 rows from a CSV/XLSX into a batch, 50 certificates are issued and 50 units of your plan's quota are consumed.
When does my quota reset?
Quota resets on the anniversary of your billing period — paid plans on each renewal, the Free plan on the anniversary of the date you signed up. Whatever you didn't use does not roll over.
If I delete a recipient, do I get the quota back?
No. Certificates are counted at import time, not at view time, because they're live the moment they exist (recipients can already share the verification link). Deletions don't refund quota.
Can I change plans at any time?
Yes. Upgrade and the change is instant, with prorated billing. Downgrade and the change takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
Why is annual cheaper per certificate?
Annual plans include a generous bonus quota on top of the 12-month volume — for example, Starter monthly is 1,000/mo (12,000/yr), but Starter annual gives you 15,000/yr. You also save ~17% on the price itself.
Do you offer discounts for education and non-profits?
Yes — accredited educational institutions and registered non-profits receive 30% off Starter, Plus, and Professional plans. Email sales@certseal.com with proof of status.
What happens if I cancel?
Your already-issued credentials remain verifiable forever — that's our promise to your recipients. You'll keep read-only access to your dashboard and can re-activate any time.
